Why Factorse

Fact Talk

We come from Mendix. Now we're bringing it to the shopfloor.

Factorise was founded in Rotterdam in 2024 by people who spent over a decade making Mendix the #1 low-code platform, and learned manufacturing inside out at Siemens.

We knew what manufacturers needed, we knew what the platform could do, and we knew nobody had connected the two. So we did.

Combined years at Mendix

Enterprise low-code platform under the hood

Our mission

Help manufacturers digitise their shopfloor without the multi-year, multi-million projects.

One platform, one data model, one operator-first experience. Composable from day one.

Our vision

A world where every manufacturer has the operational visibility today only the largest can afford.

Where IT and OT speak the same language. Where the shopfloor isn't a black box.

Why we exist

Too many shopfloor projects fail.
Not because of the technology.

Either too rigid (off-the-shelf MES that doesn't fit your process) or too custom (build-it-yourself projects that take 2-3 years to deliver). Our founding team brings together the best of two worlds: operational technology and information technology. To bridge a gap that has held manufacturers back for decades.

The team

Small team. Big intent.

Floor van Gageldonk

Floor van Gageldonk

Founder & CEO

Floor's first job was at Mendix, a tech start-up implementing low-code projects before the term "low-code" was even invented. The start-up grew over 11 years to become the indisputable market leader, and Floor was part of that journey through to the successful exit to Siemens. He led many strategic partnerships, including the Mendix–SAP alliance. After Mendix, he moved to Siemens to learn manufacturing from the inside, and that's where the idea for Factorise took shape.

Erno Rorive

Erno Rorive

CTO

Erno brings the IT and OT experience together. After 10+ years at Mendix, where he was responsible for Siemens product integration, he combined deep platform knowledge with hands-on architectural experience across the broader Siemens portfolio. With his focus on people, he's a foundational pillar — not just for the product, but for the team culture.

Menno de Graaf

Menno de Graaf

Product & Implementation Lead

Works closely with Erno and Floor on the next chapter of the Factorise platform. Combines hands-on customer implementations with a sharp, content-driven view on the product. Today he's leading customer rollouts. Tomorrow he's helping move Factorise from descriptive to predictive, using data and AI to help customers look ahead.

Rotterdam & culture

Practical, no-nonsense, hands-on.

We're a small team based at Stationsplein 45 in Rotterdam — close to the station, close to the action. The kind of place where the founder still talks to customers every week, where you'd rather visit a factory than write a slide deck, and where decisions get made by people who've been on the floor.

We're at a stage where everyone has direct impact on where the product goes. Ideas don't sit in a backlog for a year. If it's good, it lands. If it's broken, we fix it together.

Our ecosystem

Great software needs a great ecosystem.

We stay focused on what we do best — building a composable, operator-first platform — and partner with industry experts who do everything else: reselling, implementation, integration, and long-term customer support.

Our delivery partners bring decades of manufacturing experience, deep regional presence across BNL, UKI and DACH, and the trust of their customers.

Mendix & Siemens

We didn't just choose Mendix.
We helped build it.

Factorise was founded by people who helped make Mendix what it is today. We were one of the first ISVs in Mendix' commercial software programme and remain a strategic partner. Through Mendix we connect natively to Siemens Xcelerator: Teamcenter PLM, Opcenter, and the broader Siemens digital ecosystem.

The platform we run on is the same platform Siemens uses to build its own enterprise applications. For our customers that means a foundation that scales with them. Without lock-in, without bespoke integration projects, and without losing investment when the next wave of AI capabilities arrives.
